You’ll discover, if your people can’t depend on your promises, your team won’t be available when it’s really important. Be open to feedback: It’s a two way street. Maintaining an open mind with regard to other’s views is an important skill in managing employees. Being approachable and receptive proves that you value your co-worker’s views, and they should listen to your views. Encouraging conversation also opens doors to creative problem solving, ways of accomplishing the mission of the business, and develops the team. If team members can express themselves, the success of the company will become important to each team member.

Promote communication: Good communication is fundamental to managing individuals with skill. Maintaining an open door policy, employ listening techniques, remember to welcome feedback , and give team members an equal voice. Encourage team members not just to speak with you, but also with each other. The creative process depends to a great extent on the open exchange of ideas, when the staff communicate well, you can discover any problems quickly, permitting corrective measures to be implemented to prevent further problems. This can require time, however the rewards far outweigh the work. Through establishing the bonds of a good team and by taking on board your team’s opinions, you can easily achieve a successful business.
