Any women that suffers with large breasts can have major problems on their hands. Women can have problems with emotional stress, neck, back, and shoulder pain, rash under breasts, numbness and difficulty finding clothing to fit them.
The best place to learn about your problem, insurance coverage, and possible treatments are during an in office consultation with your doctor.
Some things to take into consideration before considering the breast reduction surgery. Make sure your doctor has completed at least five years of a surgical training with a minimum of two years in the plastic surgery field. Next make certain the dr is trained and has experience in all plastic surgery procedures, including breast, body, face and reconstruction. A very important thing to consider is to make sure the dr you are thinking of choosing is continuing the medical education requirements that are required of them on a yearly basis. The most important of all of these is that the doctor that you choose practices only at accredited medical facilities that you have researched. Asking for references is always a great way to see what others think about the dr’s bed side manner and other aspects of this procedure.
Some women choose to have cosmetic surgery which is performed to reshape normal structures of your body in order to improve her appearance or make her feel better about herself. Keep in mind that cosmetic surgery is usually not covered by health insurance.
Many women choose to have reconstructive surgery due to some issues they may be having. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by most health insurance companies but you will need to check with your health insurance provider to make sure what is covered and at what level or if anything special is required.
